What are the main points in the text?
What human needs or problems are addressed in the scripture?
What questions do you have about the text that you would ask a seminary professor?
What solution or hope does the text offer?
What does it say that we need to obey?
What would a camera see if this happened? If people obeyed?
Who needs to hear this?
In general – example, people who are divorcing:

What are the actual steps that I would take to implement God’s solution?
What stories or anecdotes or quotes would help illustrate the human need or problem?
What stories or anecdotes or quotes would help us visualize God’s solution happening before our eyes?
Story: a joke or tale, probably fictional
Anecdote: something that happened to me or someone in real life.
Quote: something someone said that is really poetic or meaningful.
